Guidelines for installing eyeOS locally
By Pau Garcia-Milà | November, 3 2007 | Tips & Tricks
After seeing some people in the Forums asking for help about installing eyeOS on their local Operating System, we have started a series of HOWTO’s about installing eyeOS locally, step by step and with screenshot tours, in some different Operating Systems.
The actual tutorials are:
How to install eyeOS on Debian Etch
How to install eyeOS on Ubuntu Gutsy
How to install eyeOS on Windows XP
We’ll be expanding the list to new OSes soon. If you would like to see a tutorial like these in your SO, please leve a comment here.

I’d like to see a tutorial for installation on RedHat-based systems. Ubuntu is based on Debian, so they’re almost the same thing. It would be helpful to see a RedHat-based system install, as that’s the other widely used flavor of Linux. I have a publicly accessible Fedora 7 server, and would be willing to help create such a tutorial. I have posted in the forums my current specific install problems. Thanks.
