We are proud to announce the immediate availability of eyeOS 1.7 “Lars” Preview 2, which fixes some small problems, which we noticed ourself and many more problems our users noticed and reported. – Thanks!

Testers wanted!
There are still around five days before the next and hopefully final release, and some testing would be really appreciated. Now it is the best moment to report bugs.

I have a trouble with Preview 2.
After installing it at windows box with Abyss Web Server with PHP support there is an error: «Warning: chdir() [function.chdir]: No error (errno 0) in E:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\htdocs\1\index.php on line 28»
So EyeOS can’t load.

Tested in Firefox 3.0.1 and IE 8.0 Beta2

Trying to install it I get the following messages:

Ah just to add, the installation of eyeOS1603-1 and eyeOS1700prev1 is working fine on the same system

If you use your own server with eyeOS installed, please start “eyeControl” / “System preferences” -> “System” -> “Permissions” -> “Allow web uploads”

Several errors on installer after inser root password.

then please add a more senseful message then “4″ there if its disabled

Are you sure, you are using the second preview? The first preview had a bug, which caused to show “4″ for the simple tab. It should be fixed in the second preview.

its fast , looks great , everything in his place , so to be perfect needs development of the office programs, specially the spreadsheet, the word processor , and presentation. and the email client , the to do list , etc. keep on the good work…

I upload a .mp3 file,and click it ,there is no sound,eyeMp3 application doesn’t work well
