Happy Christmas from the eyeOS crowd
By Pau Garcia-Milà | December, 25 2008 | Events
2008 has been probably the most interesting year for the eyeOS Project in a wide variety of aspects. One year ago, at December 2007 the eyeOS company was funded to promote and offer services around eyeOS. We’re glad to announce that the company will be profitable this first year and we’ll continue spreading eyeOS all around the world on 2009 thanks to it.
The eyeOS Community has grown a lot, having new members with small contributions to the code and key members that have continued or get involved in the project during 2008. Matthew Powell decided that the eyeOS wiki was not good enough. And after more than 1000 changes, he’s still not happy with it
. Lars Knickrehm gave name to eyeOS 1.7 and 1.8 thanks to all his efforts to work on 1.x before 2.0. Anaël Ollier worked some months on the main eyeOS office and is still developing key parts for the future eyeOS 2.0. Daniel Sousa didn’t stop his continued help at the eyeOS Forums but also developed some new parts of eyeOS to be included in 1.8.
But the list doesn’t end here. Adam Kasperski, Ahmed al-Ghamdi, Aleksey Tsutsei, Alexandre Mejat, Andrea Vindigni, Aron Xu, Benito Rodríguez, Blagovest Lefterov, Chris Judson, David Comuñas, Dempsey van Wissen, Edouard Daubin, Eduar Garza, Enrico Sambo, Eugenio Baldi, Felipe Tavares, Fernando González, François Bocquet, George Westenbrink, Hasan Degismez, Hendryk B. Nugraha, Balasyum, Henrik Våglin, Jan Lapidoth, Jason Hopckins, Javier Izquierdo, Javier Martín, Joko Frank Octo, Jordi Sànchez, Jordi Vivancos, José Manuel Ruas, Khalid Al Holan, Martin Tödtling, Masoud Serpoushani, Mohammad Abdoli Rad, Nguyen Dang Khoa, Nick McMillen, Nicu Calcea, Nikola Pasic, Núria Mitjana, Omer Faruk Aplak, Pavel Maryanov, Roman López, Sandra Fernández, Sergio Melero, Shalom Nehaisi, Stavros Katsoulis, Szabó Zoltán, Thorsten Zoerner, Tomas Tirlikas, Vanja Bunjevac, Vasileios Georgitzikis, Ville Perkkio, Ziera Eliani and many others have contributed to eyeOS in different ways. Developing, translating, spreading and writting blogs, twitter and forums. eyeOS would just not exist without all of you.
Finally, thanks to our closed source competitors for continue focusing on monopolize the user’s data into their servers instead of producing a free, open source product. That really makes our life easier with eyeOS.
youngest eyeOS user in the world. Maria del Mar Vallès, 3!
