From Australia, the first community which is celebrating this new year, to the USA, the last to celebrate it, almost 24 hours before, all the eyeos team wants to wish you a Happy New Year eve!
Stay tuned for the next hours. Something big is going to appear with this new year. Tomorrow morning we’ll be publishing the first release of eyeos 2.0 (which will be tested from everywhere in the world during 2-3 weeks, when the final release will appear).
2010 will be the open source year. 2010 will be the eyeos year!

Yeah, it’s 1:13pm here and still no sign of 2.0 and it’s already January 2nd in other parts of the world and again, no sign of 2.0 yet! I was really looking forward to this too…
Maybe they just couldn’t keep the releasedate. I feel a little bit disappointed, but as long as it’ll be released as soon as possible, we should be thankful for that.
Not everybody would share so much work with our community.

Earlier today I talked with Pau and he told me they expected to release it around 6-7 pm, now it’s 8pm in Spain… Maybe they run into any problem, but I think they’ll still release it today…

perhaps it should of been stated that we wouldnt be able to try the release. i think it would be better if an alpha release was made available, so we could test it and lisst bugs, all that wait for nothing…. not impressed

I’m sorry for your disappointment
. We’ll be opening this first alpha to everybody who wants on Monday however (just 2 more days). The reason of making the release this way is for the best of everyone. In 3 months we’ll have forgotten this 2 extra weeks but I’m sure we all will thank them.

Well, good, but I must say, it tricked me and I didn’t like it at all and I’m pretty sure the community share the same fellings. I’d also rather have an alpha release, at least. We’ve all been waiting for that! Why not? Anyways, for the price we’re paying, we can’t complain, right?!…
