The tunisian Community has been awarded! Congragulations!

Some days ago we explained here an event hosted by our community in Tunisia. Today we have to talk another time about them. Chemseddine Ben Jemaa, the Tunisia Community leader, his project Kangoulya, based on eyeOS, and the Tunisian Open Source Communities have won the Education and Teaching Award in Open Source.

This award is important because the economical amount will help the tunisians in order to promote, spread the Open Source in universities and resolve problems of the local communities.

The winners of the Open Source Software Awards launched this year under the theme “Innovation, Added Value” were awarded, December 15, 2010, at the closing ceremony of the 6th National Conference on Open Source Software in Tunisia,  Karthago Le Palace Hotel, Gammarth. The awards were given by Mr. Mohamed Naceur Ammar, Minister of Communication Technologies in the presence of Ms. Lamia Chaffai Sghaier, Secretary of State in charge of Information Technology, Internet, and Open Source.

From eyeOS we want to encourage you to take part of our communities and organize events in order to spread eyeOS, the Cloud and Open Source around the world.
